Ill

There is a part of me that enjoys being ill. You know, getting to snuggle up in bed, watch crappy movies and read. Today, I am lying on the sofa watching Jeremy Kyle and reading The French Lieutenants Woman. I have just finished reading Lindsey Kelk's I Heart Hollywood. And it was fantastic! I seriously cannot wait for I Heart Paris. This time we follow Angela Clark out to Hollywood to interview hot British actor James, but turns out the paparazzi take a liking to Angela and James, and you know what they say, a picture speaks a 1000 words. And she has to try and convince her hot indie boyfriend Alex, her boss Mary and NBF Jenny that nothing is going on...A fabulous read, and I have never had any desire to travel to LA, but this book makes me want to go so badly! Oh - and perhaps one of the most exciting moments in the book is when Angela receives a brand new Marc Jacobs Satchel in light blue...sigh...so pretty. I live for the day when I receive a Marc Jacobs bag...if anyone would like to donate, please do.

Now, it's the crucial time of the day. Nearly 10.30am, time to decide what movie to watch first. It's always difficult to decide what genre to go for when you're ill. Period drama? Horror? Action? Comedy? Romance? Here is my comprehensive list of sick day movies:

1. Pride and Prejudice - Come on. The wet shirt alone makes me feel like I could conquer the world. When will Mr Darcy show up at my door?

2. Only You - Robert Downey Jr. Italy. Do I really need to utter any more persuasion to you?

3. North and South - My favourite period drama. Beautiful cast, beautiful music...Just perfect.

4. Now, Voyager - One of my favourites. Bette Davis, in her classic woman's picture. Just fabulous.

5. Working Girl - Classic 80s feminist empowerment. Sigourney Weaver sizzles as the boss from hell and Melanie Griffith is just perfect. Amazing movie and perfect to take your mind off that dickie tummy.
